detox - cleansing

Lately there where very popular cleansing diets.
And NO its not about starving yourself. Its about eating proper food.

To get rid of tocsins from your body you need to stop eating process food, drink sodas. Sorry, Cadburry is on black list ;)

I found that the best way is to go on Raw Diet.

The premise is that heating food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes, which is bad because enzymes boost digestion and fight chronic disease. In short: When you cook it, you kill it.

Raw foodist promising that you will:
  • have more energy
  • your skin will be in better condition
  • have better digestions
  • Your risk of developing heart and cardiovascular diseases will significantly drop
  • loose weight
I found a lots of sources they are providing information about this diet. Its more like lifestyle than just short diet. 


So it is so amazing!
Not necessary, not for everybody.

Why I'm not a enthusiastic?

  1. People with thyroids problems. Many vegetables in the cruciferous family such as kale, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, mustard greens and brussel sprouts contain what are known as goitrogens, they are naturally occurring compounds in some foods that may block thyroid function and can eventually lead to goiter and hypothyroidism. So, cooking your vegetables can deactivate a good amount of goitrogens.
  2. Cooking. Cooking can also reduce certain chemicals in a vegetable that inhibit the absorption of minerals, including important minerals like zinc, iron, calcium and magnesium. Cooking spinach makes more iron and calcium available from its leaves, for example.
  3. Nutritional Deficiencies. The most apparent problems are nutritional deficiencies, particularly for vitamins B12 and D, selenium, zinc, iron and two omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA. Without taking supplements in pill form, it would be very difficult to obtain a sufficient amount of these nutrients from raw, plant-based foods. 
  4. Kids. A child raised on a raw, vegan diet without proper supplementation would likely develop severe neurological and growth problems due to a lack of vitamin B12 and other nutrients. Adults who have eaten animal products for more than 20 years, by contrast, have the benefit of relying on bodily stores of certain key nutrients.

Antioxidant its a group of natural substances that can delay or even prevent cell damage. For example:
  •   Vitamin A
  •   Vitamin C
  •   Vitamin E
  •    Lutein
  •  Beta – carotene
  •  Selenium

How antioxidant helping us?

They are preventing cells from damage, they are fighting with diseases for us.
As well, in laboratory and animal studies, the presence of increased levels of exogenous antioxidants has been shown to prevent the types of free radical damage that have been associated with cancer development.

Scientist still are not sure if this amazing substances making vegetable and fruits so beneficiary for us.

You are asking... Coke


Is it really that bad?

One can of coke have around 10 tsp of sugar. If you eat 10 tsb of sugar at once its highly possible that you will vomit. Why than you are not after coke? Its because of phosphoric acid inside which is covering super sweet taste. The same acid is responsible for the coke cleaning properties. 

One can of coke: 36,9 gram of sugar.
Can of coke everyday and you are drinking 134,685 KG !! sugar per year !!

Did you ever thought what you can do with coke?

Let me surprise you :)


Removes stains from grease from clothes and furniture
Cleans burned pots and pans (fill them Coke and wait a couple of hours)
Removes stone from the kettle (pour Coke inside and wait a couple of hours)
It acts as a polishing agent , eg . to old coins
Removes sludge from floor tiles
Removes a stone from the toilet bowl

and a lot of more...




Still want a can? :) 

PS. When I had a stomach bug my mum was giving me few tbsp of coke. It was really helping! Maybe because of phosphoric acid or maybe dissolved all that was causing my problems. Quite interesting treatment, don't you think?
