Antioxidant its a group of natural substances that can delay or even prevent cell damage. For example:
  •   Vitamin A
  •   Vitamin C
  •   Vitamin E
  •    Lutein
  •  Beta – carotene
  •  Selenium

How antioxidant helping us?

They are preventing cells from damage, they are fighting with diseases for us.
As well, in laboratory and animal studies, the presence of increased levels of exogenous antioxidants has been shown to prevent the types of free radical damage that have been associated with cancer development.

Scientist still are not sure if this amazing substances making vegetable and fruits so beneficiary for us.
